A new video related to the security breach in the Lok Sabha earlier on Wednesday shows a bunch of Lok Sabha MPs surrounding the intruder who invaded the House and disrupted proceedings and beating him black and blue. Two individuals breached the security of Parliament and opened canisters that blew out yellow smoke.

It was earlier reported that the two individuals were held by Lok Sabha members who said that there was little or no security personnel present to protect them. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla later said that both individuals had been taken into custody and were being interrogated.

As the security in Parliament proved insufficient, the MPs who grabbed hold of the individual slapped and punched the intruder, with some MPs even taking turns to have their way with him. While one MP pulled him by the hair, others were seen slapping and punching him.

Earlier in the day, a massive security breach in Parliament left the nation in shock as one individual jumped from the visitors’ gallery onto the floor of the House and raised slogans. Another associate of his reportedly dangled from the visitors’ gallery. Both opened smoke canisters that filled the House with yellow smoke.

As the House reconvened at 2 PM, Speaker Om Birla assured members that the smoke was not hazardous. In a separate incident, two protesters were detained by the Delhi Police outside Transport Bhavan close to the Parliament for raising slogans and deploying what appeared to be similar smoke canisters.

The four individuals involved in both incidents have been identified as Sagar Sharma, Manoranjan D, Neelam and Amol Shinde. They are currently in Delhi Police custody and an investigation is underway.
