Fly to Ayodhya soon! IndiGo set to operate inaugural flight to Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport on THIS date
IndiGo announced its plans to operate the inaugural flight from the national capital to Ayodhya airport on December 30, with commercial services commencing from January 6. Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia had previously mentioned on December 8 that the Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport at Ayodhya would be ready by the end of December and Prime Minister Narendra Modi would inaugurate the airport.
According to the release, IndiGo will be the first airline to operate from the Ayodhya airport, marking Ayodhya as the airline’s 86th domestic destination. The inaugural flight from Delhi to Ayodhya is scheduled to arrive on December 30, 2023. Commercial operations for a direct flight between Delhi and Ayodhya will begin on January 6, 2024, followed by tri-weekly flights connecting Ahmedabad and Ayodhya from January 11, 2024.

Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed that the introduction of these new flights linking Delhi and Ahmedabad to Ayodhya will place Ayodhya on the country’s aviation map.
