Veranda Learning joins forces with Illinois Tech for tech courses, K–12 dual credit programmes
Veranda Learning Solutions, an ed-tech company has announced a collaboration with the Illinois Institute of Technology (Illinois Tech), the premier technology-focused university in Chicago. This partnership aims to elevate educational offerings in both information technology and K–12 dual credit programmes, granting students unprecedented access to cutting-edge courses and facilitating a smooth pathway to higher education. Veranda subsidiary Edureka aims to deliver technology courses, while Veranda K–12 will oversee the dual credit programme, according to an official release.
In the field of information technology, Edureka and Illinois Tech will jointly launch a series of courses, including a Data Engineering programme. This initiative, tailored for lifelong learners, especially those transitioning or growing in their careers, harnesses Illinois Tech’s faculty and Edureka’s online learning expertise. The goal is to engage students in acquiring stackable credentials that translate into credits for higher education, blending theoretical knowledge with the practical skills necessary for success in the rapidly evolving information technology market, the release mentioned.
Veranda Learning claims to have a vast network of nearly 200 centres across India and Edureka, boasting more than 70 centres, are strategically positioned to disseminate Illinois Tech’s advanced curriculum to an extensive audience of more than 75,000 students annually.
Regarding K–12 dual credit programmes, this partnership aims to provide students in grades 8th–12th with essential foundational knowledge. Learners can earn credits applicable to higher education at international universities, bridging the gap between secondary and tertiary education. This innovative approach prepares students for a seamless transition into the global academic arena, as per the release.
